Cheap plastic skis, small size (for small kids)- where can i find something like that?

I want something that a small child can do.
We tried real skis with boots, small size,
but it was too heavy for him.
Where can i buy small skis that a small kid can just wear on top of regular shoes?

Try cross-country skis. I rented a pair for my son when he was 4. It took a couple of times, but he eventually loved them. Try finding a used sporting goods store in your area like 2nd Time Around Sports to see if they have any. Check the Yellow Pages for one.
